that’s kind of how I have felt about 2009. on a personal level, it started off kinda sucky (involving my husband losing a tooth, including my youngest son being in hospital for 5 days, and many, many other things) but it did end up with a vast improvment. or maybe my mindset improved, i’m not sure. in any case, 2009 is ending with me not feeling quite as lost and sad as i did at the start of the year. and i’m ready for a HUGE 2010. well, business wise, i need to clean up my office, and get myself a little more organised. but i’m ready to do that. next week.

i hope all my friends, family, clients and loyal followers had a very, very merry christmas. i had a fabulous time with most of my family – my favourite quote from sam “how did santa know EXACTLY what i wanted????” (gee, baby, i’m not sure, he must be one smart guy, huh?) i can’t wait to greet the new year with a smile on my face, and a smile in my heart.

i hope 2009 was fabulous for you, but that 2010 will be even better. i have a feeling it will be a cracker for me. enjoy ringing in the new year however you plan to do it (me? i have no idea as yet. might have to buy a new wii game for my husband to pretend that he’s beaten me at).

many, many thanks to those of you who i have dealt with this year. i cherish each and every client i have, and look forward to meeting a year full of new ones.

enough to make anyone clucky. that was sweet matthew, 12 days old. he is a very chilled out baby. with a doting big sister, isabella. i could have wrapped them both up and brought them home with me.

sarah was my very last maternity session for 2009 (and only 2 families and 1 newborn to go!!!). it had just rained, so the colours were stunning.

it is always an honour to be asked to photograph another photographer……but it also very bloody terrifying! i always wonder if they are analysing how i work, or what i am doing, am i giving enough direction, am i giving too much direction, is this what they really want anyway and why on earth did they want me photographing them when there are so many other photographers around, and AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! so anyway….cazz and her family were up on holidays from melbourne, so we met up, had a ball, enjoyed some ice creams, and then some fish and chips for dinner. my family and i really enjoyed spending time with them (and max still asks after harry!!!). the boys all got on really well too which was lovely.

cazz, thank you so much for entrusting me to do this for you. i hope you get some lovely images for your walls that include YOU in them! looking forward to planning a holiday to melbourne soon

well, it’s been a crazy week. actually make that, it’s been a crazy few months. i’m looking forward to the christmas break. and then after that i get to photograph what is currently residing in michell’s belly! doesn’t she look amazing? i wish i had’ve looked that good pregnant. michell and her husband met me on the sandgate waterfront, one of my favourite places to photograph at. hope you enjoyed yourselves, guys, and i’ll be in touch soon xx
