sonya contacted me for a family session to celebrate her parents 40th wedding anniversary. they wanted casual, relaxed photos, and these guys were so casual and lovely and fun….it was a total breeze! i had a bit of fun with sonya’s 2 boys – tommy and sammy – too. keep an eye out for the stop motion fun i had with them in their pool.

i’m so behind in my work at the moment…..my apologies to louise and brett for your sneak peek having taken so long. my days have been hectic (3 sessions over the weekend, plus helping my sister move house = one very tired and busy fiona!!!!).

so i won’t beat around the bush, you want to see images, so images you will get.

ps, this session was held at my house – my husband wanted to keep lachlan, and my eldest son, sam, was bawling after they left because he didn’t get a cuddle. THAT’S how cute lachlan is!

ahhhhh, yet another gorgeous, gorgeous family, with immaculate taste in clothes! i had actually spotted these dresses from country road before, and dreamed of having a little girl of my own to dress her up in them (until i came to my senses and realised that i would be more likely to end up with twin boys, lol). debbie, mark, isabella, lucy and sam were so lovely, and sweet, and i just adored photographing them.

i met up with roghan and ava (and their mum and grandmother!) at new farm park/powerhouse this afternoon. they are such adorable, sweet kids – and oh so very cute!

seriously, i love my job. i really do.

had a fun session today at one of my favourite spots, shorncliffe. this is literally 10mins from where i live, and i bring my boys here quite a bit, so i know it well. jason is in the army and is getting deployed early next year for 9 months (god help you, jacqui – are you are stronger woman than i!!!), so they wanted some photos before he left. their kids are simply gorgeous, and i had a lovely time photographing them.

these guys asked for some photos of just them…which i love. most parents are more concerned about photos of the kids, but it’s just as important to have photos of you as a couple! i LOVE how chuffed jason looks here – and with such a gorgeous wife, you can probably see why!

so yesterday I get a text message from my good friend, bec. it said: “well hello, miss photo5 finalist”. i think i nearly peed my pants. for those of you that aren’t aware of the canon photo5 competition held each year, it kinda goes like this:

1) entrants register to receive a photo5 box.
2) entrants receive a box with 5 items in it.
3) entrants go CRAZY trying to come up with something original to do with each item, and then to take the perfect photo of it. it’s a creativity thing!
4) entrants spend weeks agonising over whether their entry was any good
5) if you are really lucky (like I was), you find out that your entry WAS good, in fact, good enough to have been selected as one of the 10 finalists!

this session was a present from jacki to peter for christmas last year, and we ended up waiting until griffin was at the 6 month mark….because, let’s face it, 6 month old babies are such a joy to photograph! jasper certainly kept me on my toes (and gave me my weekly exercise!) – he would stop long enough for me to snap off 2 quick shots, and then he was off again! such a gorgeous family (and be sure to check out griffin’s eyelashes – CRIMINAL having lashes like that on a boy!!!!).

my first session for the day (so check back later for another sneak peek!). this little guy was a bit of a change from yesterday’s chubba bubba. josiah was born 3.5 weeks premmie….and i think he is the smallest baby i’ve had so far! he was so tiny….but very strong too!

remember talita and john? well, somehow, all scrunched up in that gorgeous belly of talita’s, lay oliver….all 4.7kg of him (that’s 10.5lbs for those of us who don’t do metric!!!). i just adore those cheeks of his! he was a fantastic little sleeper too, and oh so very chilled. loved this little 6 day old muchkin.
