see that belly in the pool photo up on my header? that gorgeous belly? yep, this gorgeous little boy was once that belly-in-the-pool-with-rose-petals!! luca is so totally adorable, and i just adore those cheeks! this was my third shoot with these guys, with 2 more to come later in the year. it will be so nice for them to look back at luca’s first year and see how much he’s grown and changed. it all goes by so quickly and we forget things so easily. i mean, i can’t believe luca is already 3.5 months old already! wasn’t he just born the other day???

if you aren’t already aware, my very good friend and business partner, bec hall, and i do weddings together in the brisbane area, under the name carson hall photography. the weekend just gone (yeah, i know it’s already the weekend again, i’ve always been a bit slow) was our first anniversary of our first wedding together. since then we’ve done quite a few weddings, and engagement sessions, and are about to launch carson hall with a brand new look and website (keep your eyes and ears open for launching specials). it’s been a crazy year with lots of camera upgrades, new lenses, wonderful brides and grooms and heaps of laughs! bec recently sent me this storyboard as my anniversary present, so i couldn’t help posting it on here, after my ‘action’ shots below!

i also have this one of me at “work”. just another reason why i love my job. it’s so much FUN!!! this was taken by my very good friend, Bec. (and I TOTALLY suck at the hula hoop. seriously, i don’t get it. i’ve tried and tried but never been able to work it out. i’ve even been practicing, yet i just can’t get it. is it only me?). Bec actually has quite a few photos of me in action from when we photograph weddings together. I must put together the best of them to put on here.

and just briefly, a very happy 21st birthday to Alex for the 16th, and a very happy 5th birthday to ryan for the 17th.

Well as you may have guessed by this blog title I’m not Fiona, but her good friend Bec. Fiona kindly asked me to come and photograph three gorgeous sisters and boy oh boy am I glad she did! What a fantastic afternoon! These girls are not only extremely photogenic but they’re also a heap of fun.

i come from a family of sisters, so i know firsthand how rewarding it can be! these guys are obviously extremely close, which is so lovely to see. funny enough, i brought my sister along to this shoot as our stylist (and resident “make them laugh” assistant), and my very good friend, bec, also came along. we had such a fantastic time, there were plenty of laughs, and not a whole lot of seriousness, some AWESOME dance moves (my “robot” rocks it out dude), and even a bit of hula hooping. i don’t believe i’ve laughed quite so much in one shoot!

rach, vanessa and natasha….thank you so, so much for a wonderful afternoon. thank you so much also for putting so much thought and effort into your outfits, it sure did pay off. you guys looked HOT! i’m sure we have managed to grab a good enough photo to replace the old ones on your dad’s wall!!!!!

ps, cas said to me after she left, she really wanted to hug you guys goodbye and i kinda felt the same!!!!

one of the first things robyn said to me is “we don’t want any posed photos with us looking at the camera”. i love robyn.

these guys got just as excited as i did when they saw some photos on my camera’s lcd! i love robyn and michael.

lucy was a dream, even without having had a sleep! she loved my camera and kept looking for it. yep, i’m gonna say it. i love lucy.
