add a touch of me, and what do you get?

so to say i was terrified going into this session could very well be an understatement. 2 reasons why.

a) teenagers. 5 year olds, i’m cool with. i talk their talk. i walk their walk. it’s been a long time since i was a teenager. i don’t *know* them.

b) someone i kinda know. well, i had never actually met robin – but i have always known about her. her little sister sort of lived at my place back when we were teenagers (you know, back long enough that i don’t really remember it much). and i always get a bit nervous photographing people i know. not sure why really. just do.

so……this is robin’s amazingly gorgeous daughter’s, kate & sarah. bless them, they did everything i asked of them. even when i wasn’t sure if it was too daggy or not. like i said, i don’t *know* teenagers! girls, i’m so sorry if i made you do anything daggy. and thank you for not making me feel old and stoopid.

so this post is only a week late :s i have been working at the scrapbooking expo this weekend and spent most of the week getting ready for it……so i did have good intentions. my apologies guys. and i’ll keep it brief.

remember oliver? he got big!

so this was my first family session of the weekend – these guys braved the cold (yes, it does get cold in brisbane!) to meet me early on saturday morning at new farm park. matilda is such a little doll….with eyelashes to die for! she’s even adorable when she’s screaming – as you are about to see!

and this is where it started to all go a little pear shaped. when a girl’s gotta sleep, a girl’s gotta sleep!

see? still adorable!

aaaaannnnnndddddddd….bliss! after only two laps in the pram! don’t you just love those smushy lips?

so i’m a little behind in blogging at the moment, as i’ve been a busy little beaver. a beautiful wedding on friday, 2 gorgeous families yesterday (keep an eye out for them in the next few days), and today’s session was another gorgeous family. bridget, greg and jack are ever so sweet, and it took…oh, at least 3 seconds for jack to warm up to me!

enjoy!

my fave for sure! i love how it makes me smile every time i look at it!

butter wouldn’t melt, right?

well, everyone knows i love boys, so i always encourage the crazy faces!

parents never have enough photos of themselves. i do try and get at least a few every family session!

ummmm, yeah, I’m only a week late with this blog post. i seriously feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day anymore (and i’m going to bed every night with the first season of Lost – DEFINITELY not enough hours for me to be watching that!!!).

i have been giving sharon photography lessons here and there since last year, and am now proud to call her my friend! needless to say, i was honoured when she asked me to take photos of her and david for their anniversary. these guys are so adorable together…even after (correct me if I’m wrong here???) 10 years of marriage. and their “babies” seth and lacey are absolutely adored!

sharon, my boys have already been nagging about coming over to see lacey’s puppies! do you have a “list” for when she goes into labour? you know, the list of people to let know? you better pop my name down there ;)

thanks so much guys, and sorry for the delay. hope to catch up soon xx

seth and lacey – cute, huh?

isn’t sharon gorgeous?

i literally got all goosebumpy taking these photos. i love me some gorgeous light!

oh sam, how i love those eyes of yours. and that cheeky smile (even if you made me work hard for it while i had a camera in front of my face!!!) and that baby drool is adorable. ah, sam, i would eat green eggs and ham for you.

not a big fan of the noise you make when you grind your teeth *shudders*

john wanted some photos with his motorbike involved…..so i tried to get creative!

see? baby drool. it’s adorable.

love me a bit of sunshine

if this doesn’t make you smile….you are crazy!

can you see four people here????

petria, john and sam. thank you for a lovely afternoon, enjoy your sneak peek and i’ll be in touch soon xx

this blog post is a little late after some technical issues last night (sorry katey!!!). so meet katey and andrew….

- katey and andrew are celebrating their anniversary tomorrow – happy anniversary guys!
- katey is 33 weeks pregnant
- katey is 33 weeks pregnant with TWINS!
- katey looks amazing for someone who is 33 weeks pregnant with twins!
- the sunset was nothing short of perfect at wellington point
- andrew digs kids who dig excavators ;)
- mozzies suck
- i must remember to get more mozzie spray for my camera bag

see what i mean? i think i was bigger than this with ONE baby!!

something a bit different for me, but i loved how this light hit katey’s belly

see? check this sunset. there aren’t many places in brisbane where we can get the sun setting over water, but you can always count on it being pretty spectacular at wellington point!!

ok, so i’m a bit big for her cot, but i love all the details. the toys, the colour of the walls, the bunting….everything just looked so sweet and totally 100% fit for a princess….which of course, mackenzie is!

byron tried to tell me it takes her ages to get mackenzie to sleep. i think she was fibbing, cos she was an absolute angel. usually it’s the parents telling me they are ALWAYS sleeping, except for the day I happen to be there taking photos, so it made for a nice change for me!

enjoy guys, hope you got some rest this arvo, byron. will be in touch soon xx

isn’t she gorgeous?

details, look at all these gorgeous details!

LOVE this one!

and this could quite possibly be my favourite newborn photo EVER!!!

wow. not really sure where my time goes lately. i’ve got SO much to catch up on. editing, ordering, delivering, and most of all, blogging. after easter i took my boys out to my mum and dad’s, and also did a few sessions for family and friends….which i haven’t had time to blog yet. then i entered the queensland professional photographer awards and came out with 2 silvers (will blog about that another time). and more sessions. and weddings. and now to try and swim back to the surface and take a breathe, lol.

anyway. last saturday. do you remember luca from here, here, and a few other places on my blog? (yep, he’s a regular!!!). well, he’s back. and he’s one (or 14 months to be exact, we’ve been trying to get this session done for a while now!!!).

i won’t ramble. i’m no good at this talking stuff anyway. i’ll leave it up to the images to say everything i want to say!

thanks to zoe, paul, luca, emma and nick. enjoy, and i’ll talk soon xx

and lastly, my fave one. love everything about this, from the eye contact from luca, to the feather in nick’s hands….so cute!
